Answer: By far the most important corvette was the 1954 Motorama Corvette ,this car was a retroed 1953 corvette #260 that was fitted with the first corvette hardtop.

The first corvette with role up windows ,the first production corvette with exterior door handles and a 1956 style windshield.

This car went on to become the corvette of today. It saved the demise of Corvette as GM was going to stop production because of poor public response. The public response to the 1954 Motorama corvette hardtop dream car was fabulous and the Corvette survived. What a car in the history of Corvette. By the way this car is now under total restoration at Corvette Specialties Auto Group in Surrey B.C. Canada. The car has a well documented full history all the way back to the original bill of sale from gm to the first owner and every owner since.

Answer: 1970 was the year and 370 was the horsepower.
